Commemorative Bench Program

The San Mateo County Harbor District is pleased to relaunch a Commemorative Bench Program at Pillar Point Harbor.  At this time, we can only offer plaques on select existing benches. To purchase a custom plaque (with 10 years of maintenance) to be placed on an existing bench follow the steps below.

1.Review the bench map and select your top three choices of location by bench number.

2. Complete a Commemorative Bench Program Agreement.  You can download an agreement at the link below or pick up a paper version at Pillar Point Harbormaster Office.

3. Bring your completed agreement to the Pillar Point Harbormaster Office located at One Johnson Pier at Pillar Point Harbor in El Granada, with payment (cash, check, credit card).  Agreements and payment will be accepted on a first come, first served basis at the Pillar Point Harbormasters Office. 

Once your agreement and payment are accepted, the District will work with the plaque vendor to develop a proof of the plaque inscription for your approval.  Once approved by you and the District, the District will order the plaque and install.  District staff will keep you informed of the installation date.  Bronze plaques will take an average of 3 months to produce and arrive at the harbor (per the vendor).
