NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Mateo County Harbor District will receive sealed bids for the Pillar Point Harbor – Harbor Master’s Office Roof Replacement ITB 2018-01R. The District invites qualified contractors to bid on the Harbor Master’s Office Roof Replacement Project at Pillar Point Harbor. The existing Harbor Master’s Office roof was constructed in the late 1990’s and has exceeded its useful life.  The roof consists of a built-up roof system, grey granulated cap sheet surfacing.  The roof areas approximately 1,124 sq. ft. (built-up roof) and 2,800 sq. ft. of shingles. The scope of work to be completed includes, but not limited to; securing all permits, preparing existing utilities and equipment prior to demolition, removing all demolished materials, replace both flat and sloped roof areas, install new flashing to roof perimeter, replace seal/flashings for all roof penetrations, removal of any and all hazardous materials.  Leave work site free of all debris upon project completion and maintain public safety throughout duration of the project.  Prospective Bidders are directed to the Harbor District’s website for construction documents and further information.

 Sealed Bid Proposals shall be submitted to the San Mateo County Harbor District, Administration Office, no later than 2:00 p.m. local time on August 17, 2018, at 504 Avenue Alhambra, Ste.200, El Granada, CA  94018.

NOTE: The United States Postal Service does not deliver mail to District Office. The District shall not be responsible for timely receipt of submittals if addressed to the District’s P.O. Box address.

PROJECT BID SPECIFICATIONS ARE IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE at the San Mateo County Harbor District, 504 Avenue Alhambra, 2nd Floor, El Granada, CA 94018 or on the District’s website at  Phone 650-741-9163. 

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference and site-walk will be held on July 27, 2018 10:30 a.m. at the Pillar Point Harbor Master’s Office at 1 Johnson Pier, Half Moon Bay, CA 94019.   The pre-bid conference and site-walk is MANDATORY for the contractor’s bid to be considered responsive.

Bid, Material and Labor Bonds are required as part of this agreement.

The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularities therein.  The award of this contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.  No proposals will be accepted by facsimile or electronic mail.
